"Justice must protect victims, deter crime, and create real pathways to safer communities for all."

Juvenile Justice Reform
I believe in addressing the root causes of juvenile delinquency while ensuring accountability. That means:
-
Partnering with community and county leaders to identify and address the conditions that lead young people into the justice system.
-
Advocating for legislation that gives local officials the discretion they need to effectively manage juvenile cases.
-
Promoting a balanced approach that emphasizes both accountability and second chances for youth.

Championing Victims’ Voices
Victims deserve to be at the center of the justice system—not an afterthought. I will:
-
Strengthen victim services and ensure consistent communication.
-
Guarantee that victims are informed and heard at every stage of the process, not only when convenient for the prosecution.
-
Pursue practical and trauma-informed approaches that respect and empower victims.
A Compassionate and Effective Domestic Violence System
Domestic violence victims and survivors must be able to navigate the justice system with clarity and support. I will:
-
Heighten awareness of community-based resources so victims can obtain fair and timely assistance.
-
Build stronger partnerships across law enforcement and community agencies to eliminate silos and confusion.
-
Ensure prosecutors handling domestic violence cases provide safe, supportive environments and clearly explain all available options.

Crime, Economic Opportunity and Quality of Life
Public safety, economic opportunity and quality of life are deeply connected. I will:
-
Partner with county leadership to confront organized retail theft and its impact on jobs and businesses and explore stronger accountability measures.
-
Commit to breaking the cycle of repeat offenses by holding violent offenders accountable while investing in proven strategies that reduce recidivism.
-
Work hand-in-hand with neighboring jurisdictions to share intelligence, strengthen prosecutions, and ensure seamless collaboration in the pursuit of offenders because crime doesn’t stop at the county border, and neither should justice.
